So a bit of a background story to this photo: My friend Ole from Berlin used to live in Bergen, Norway. He came to visit my good pal Isak while he was living in MN two summers ago, and we have stayed in contact ever since. Anyway, apparently, when Isak was a bit drunk out of whack at a social gathering, he told Ole that I was friends with Surfer Blood, which is definitely not true. So, at the end of his visit, Ole goes back to Norway without ever getting clarification from me that it’s legitimate. Several months later, he goes to see Surfer Blood in Bergen. After the show, he approaches them and says “your good friend Gunnar from Minnesota says hello!” To which they replied  ’uhhh?” in confusion. Then, he snapped a photo of them waving hello to me and sent it to me. Clearly, they had no idea what was going on, but it sure made me happy.
